Timeline of the Fallout Universe
I’m very much looking forward to Fallout 3.
I played both Fallout 1 and 2, but never finished them. The turn based combat just annoyed the crap out of me. I mean, I couldn’t STAND IT. So while I have tried several times to finish both games, I always get frustriated and dont make it. I love the idea of the Fallout universe, and I love the strange humor in both games . . . but having never finished them . . . I didnt quite know the timeline of the universe.
That is . . . until now ! Take a look HERE for a brief lesson in the futures history !
No commentsMonday Link Dump
I’m working on a secret video (Shhhhh, dont tell anyone) and looking through all kinds of old pictures, trying to find some to make a video presentation (read, glorified slide show).
While I wait for all the data I currently have to copy to a portable hard drive, I decided to do a little link dump !
- Nuclear Weapons are bad, I wish no one had them. But I trust our goverment with them more then I trust the Russians (or especially the North Korea). Yah, that’s probably a very American thing to say (we can have them, but you cant) . . . but that’s how I feel. I trust our goverment is more stable then North Korea or Russia. Read a little article about Russias response to the American ‘ring of steel’ (the fact that we are placing air bases and radar sites all around them to detect and perhaps thwart nuclear missle attacks) HERE. What do you think ?
- Speaking of Czar’s (watch this slick transition here) . . . a new bill, if passed, will give us a Copyright Czar here in the US . . . read HERE. I think a lot of this bill is good, but there are also portions of it that allow goverment ‘agents ‘to take your laptop, IPod, or any other digital device and send it off to be scanned for illegal downloads (that is, if you are corssing the border back into the US. They just check for these things at the border at the moment.).
-New type of Crystal will help infiber optics (no transition here) . . . read HERE.
- Truck full of games is stolen . . . twice . . . read HERE.
- A cool video about Worship that I’m hoping to show in the next few weeks at church HERE.
- oh, and Iron Man comes out on Bluray Tomorrow (for those peeps in the US that is, ha ha rest of world !).
2 commentsNew Mirrors Edge Trailer and a link dump !
Joystiq has posted a new trailer for Mirrors Edge (showing how things got the way they are in the city). It looks very cool, as does the whole game, . . . I just hope it doesnt turn into a soap box instead of a good game.
I dont want to play a FPCS (First Person Commentary on Society). However, DICE did pretty well with Battlefield:Bad Company so I have high hopes. Find it HERE.
And now . . . A LINK DUMP !
- HERE is a cool story about new fluid behavior equation. Sounds stupid, but AFFECTS a lot of stuff (or does it EFFECT things ?).
- will the FAA finally upgrade their Air Traffic Control equipment ? Find out HERE.
- NASA decides to send Opportunity (one of the little Mars rovers that could) on a two year journey to explore a new crater . . . but will it survive !?!?!?! Read the story HERE. Not like the little buggers havent out performed all expectations allready.
- Forget the Space Elevator, the Chinese are doing a manned space mission complete with space walk ! This is a big step for them. Read about it HERE.
- I keep hearing about Archive.org from different people, but I’ve never truly checked it out.

Matt Jones pointed this leaked trailer out to me today. It’s obviously captured using a camera phone or something, but you get the idea. Find it HERE.
4 commentsHere we go again . . .
I have so many big projects that I need to work on, but not a one that I want to start today. I would spend a few hours taking stuff apart or moving it around, only to have to spend that much time putting it right back for service. And since we have services all week long, there’s not a lot I can work on in the ‘big projects’ department.
2 commentswhat happenned ?
In other news . . . I just lost two posts in a row . . . will all kinds of cool links and things . . . an ‘Internal Server Error’ (with no error code) killed them . . .
